What’s Happening Now?

When it comes to local festivals, national expos, and annual events, we have a full calendar for visitors to enjoy year round. We begin with New Year's Day celebrations across the region. The fight to defeat pediatric cancer continues each February with THON, the nation's largest student run philanthropy.

As the weather warms there are a variety of events that celebrate the arrival of spring. ....And Memorial Day is special in the place where it was founded... Boalsburg.

Summer brings annual arts, crafts, and cultural festivals to the regional, along with one of our nation's favorite pastimes, baseball with the State College Spikes.

Centre County comes alive each Autumn, with community festivals and events like the Dutch Fall Festival in Aaronsburg, the Millheim Oktoberfest, the Punkin Chunkin Fall Festival in Howard, and more!

And finally the winter season brings celebration of the holidays... including Bellefonte's Victorian Christmas... finishing with the Resolution 5k in downtown State College.

With four seasons to pick from, there's always more in store to explore.

In this module, we’re going to look at things to see and do that only happen for a limited time. This includes things like festivals, holiday celebrations, prominent races and community extravaganzas.

We’re going to divide these up by season so they’re a little bit easier to absorb. Let’s take a look.
